Summary
A wooden high chair, with black metal brackets and screws, which converts into a table and chair for a toddler (circa 1930). The high chair and cot (inventory number 663500) were stained approx. 16 years ago (1996) for the donor's eldest granddaughter coming to stay. Four of the donor's grandchildren have used it. It has four wooden legs and a base at the bottom to aid stability. It has a small simple seat at the top with a foot rest, which can move with a back clip securing it to the wooden bar. The table is connected to the sides of the chair with black brackets allowing it to move and towards the back of the chair. It has two arms, one each side of the seat - when the table rests upon them, it can be locked into place with metal clips underneath the table. It can be converted into a low chair and table by moving the joints around. To do this push the table to the back of the chair, take the black metal rod out of the foot rest and remove. Pull back the wooden panel, the one with an inner wheel until it can bend in half. Lift the base up to reveal a bigger table with 4 colour beads attached to a metal pole. This table can be locked into place with the chair, using the hook and eyes at the side. The mechanism is stiff and difficult to move. The high chair was originally painted from white to pink, before being stained about 16 years ago with wooden varnish, which is chipping off in certain areas. Total number of items is 6.
