Summary
A baby's wooden cot, which is in five different wooden pieces, this consists of two end pieces, two side pieces and a base and two metal rods (circa 1930). The high chair (inventory number 663501) and cot were stained approx. 16 years ago (1996) for the donor's eldest granddaughter coming to stay. Four of the donor's grandchildren have used it. The two end pieces are both identical; they are made with two supporting round legs which have two metal wheels at the bottom. It has a wooden bar 1/4 of the way up which has five rounded wooden poles connecting to a top bar. The piece has six metal joint parts which enable the cot pieces to be connected together, with one having a hook to secure in place. The two side pieces are both identical; they are made of two supporting rounded pieces of wood, with eleven round wooden poles connecting to the supporting bars. The ends of the supporting frame have different connecting points enabling the cot to be connected together. The base of the cot is made up of six pieces of smooth wood, which have been glued and screwed together, with a flat piece of smooth wood placed on top. The four end pieces have four black metal pieces, which has a rounded indent for construction of the cot. Total number of items is 6.
