Summary
A Steiff teddy bear with shortish beige fur and warm yellow/brown fabric paws. He has brown glass eyes and a stitched brown nose and mouth. Around his neck is a red ribbon tied in a bow. In his left ear is a yellow label fastened on with a gold stud with 'Steiff' embossed into it. The label reads 'Steiff, Knopf Im Ohr' in red. On his back is fastened a white fabric label reading 'Supplied by The House of Bruin' in black. This is fastened on with a plastic tag. When the bear is turned over, he makes a 'growling / mooing' noise. The bear is in an 'as new' condition.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mr David Hall in 2010. From a collection of soft toys collected by the donor's late wife Jane between 1975 - 2005.

Label fastened on the left ear with a metal stud: 'Steiff / KNOPF IM OHR' On the white fabric label : 'SUPPLIED BY / The House of Bruin'
