Summary
A late 19th / early 20th century baby's bonnet made of cream silk on a cotton base and supported by gauze. The rim of the bonnet is loosely attached to the front of the bonnet and is decorated with floral embroidery. Around the back of the head the silk is pleated. Inside the bonnet is gathered into a 'button' of fabric at the back. The bottom rim of the bonnet is made of cotton and there is a drawstring at the back of the neck. The silk is delicate and the rim is starting to come away from the main body of the bonnet.
