Summary
Various toy making pattern sheets printed in inks on paper and folded to fit into an envelope. Three of the sheets are printed in green ink and are animal designs. Each of these sheets has 'Hobbies DESIGN' ANIMALS MADE TO STAND UP WITH MOVEABLE LEGS’. Then each is numbered and dated accordingly; ‘No.2406 26.11.41; No.2416 4.2.42; No.2371 29-3-41’. The animals are wild, zoo type. All the sheets fold neatly together, but No.2371 is larger than the others. In a different style are the black ink printed designs. The seven designs are of a similar layout and state 'HOBBIES DESIGN' at the top of each sheet and 'PRINTED IN ENGLAND' at the lower left corner. Each design is different and has different instructions to suit; 'TOY MOTOR CAR', 'TOY WINDMILL', 'NOAH'S ARK', 'TOY CRANE', 'TOY HORSE AND CART', 'TOY DESIGN THE MANGLE', 'KITCHEN DRESSER AND CHAIR'. The envelope is the same paper with black ink. It is inscribed 'HOBBIES Series 1/MODEL PATTERNS/PATTERNS FOR MAKING EIGHT ORIGINAL AND STRONG TOYS Price 6d. Below in a separate box is 'HOBBIES LTD. DEREHAM. Norfolk'. Total number of items is 11.
