Summary
A cook's outfit for either Barbie or her best friend Midge with original packaging. The outfit consists of a red cotton apron gathered at the waist on to a bib, and a white cotton chef's hat. A deep pocket, divided into three compartments, takes up most of the lower half of the apron. In one compartment is a wooden rolling pin with red handles, in another a red and white gingham pan holder, and in the third are three metal utensils - a knife, a fish slice and spoon. The packaging consists of a T-shaped piece of cardboard, colour-printed mainly in yellow and red on the front and pink and black on the back, to which the clothes are stitched. Printed on the front is 'TEEN-AGE FASHIONS FOR Barbie AND Midge WILL FIT MISS BARBIE AND FASHION QUEEN BARBIE TOO!', along with the price ($1.00). This is inside a clear plastic bag which is also T-shaped( and kept fastened with a small piece of narrow sellotape. Stuck to the plastic is a round white or cream label which reads 'WHAT'S COOKING?'.In the back of the packaging is a small colour-printed booklet which has images of Barbie and her friends and family, entitled 'exclusive FASHIONS BY MATTEL BOOK 3'.
