Summary
A dark blue 'sailor' type jacket made for a ‘Tressy’ doll. It is made from fairly stiff glazed cotton, with a large 'sailor' collar edged with narrow red tape and rows of red and white tape edging the hem and sleeve cuffs. It fastens at the front with two small silver-coloured metal press studs, but on the right front are six tiny red plastic buttons, grouped in pairs to give a 'double-breasted' effect. Part of a set.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Helen Akitt in March 2008.
