Summary
A tool used by people with Dyslexia alongside printed booklets produced by ‘Stile' (manufacturer) for KS2, supplied by LDA (Learning Development Aids) for people with special needs - Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Autism, ADHD, Fine Motor Skills and Gross Motor Skills. 'Stile' self-checking learning aid are for children aged 4-11 and is already used throughout thousands of primary and secondary establishments. The idea is that the booklet page is worked through by the individual who answers questions, choosing the numbers on the opposite side of the tiles and placing them in order in the clear lid of tray. Once they have answered the questions they close the lid over the base, and if the tiles now match the image at the top of that page they have answered everything correctly. The object consists of a plastic tray with a red base and a clear lid, hinged at the back, containing twelve coloured tiles which sit in twelve compartments moulded in the base. Each tile is cream. On one side is a shape in blue, red or green (there are four of each), on the other is a number printed in red. Printed in each compartment of the tray base is a number in black.
