Summary
A matching set of hat and mittens for a new-born baby, knitted in fine cotton yarn and lined with cotton jersey fabric. The hat, shaped to incorporate an ear flap at each side, is knitted in stripes of brown, light pink, dark pink green and cream, with a crocheted border all around the edge in brown. Embroidered on the broad cream stripe are two flowers, one pink and one pale blue. The mittens have similar stripes, the broadest being pale pink, but no embroidery. The cuffs are crocheted in brown, to match the hat edging. There is elastic threaded through between the knitted outside and the lining to form the cuffs. Inside the hat and each mitten is a white ribbon label printed with the size, washing instructions and safety information. Sewn near the edge of the hat, on the inside, is a woven 'Mamas and Papas' ribbon label. Total number of items is 3.
