Summary

A board game based on the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film 'Dead Man's Chest' (circa 2007). The game consists of a board made of fabric, a DVD, a pack of cards, four playing pieces shaped as sailing ships (in separate compartments in a plastic bag), three dice (in a plastic bag) and sheet of playing instructions. Also in the box are two playing card shaped advertisements for the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Top Trumps special edition game. The box, comprising a lid and a base, is made of cardboard covered in glossy, colour-printed paper. On the lid are the title, an image of the game as if being played, and a photograph of Johnny Depp (a still from the film). On the base, along with an introduction to the game is a large colour photograph of a family playing the game. Inside the box is a brown plastic moulded insert into which the contents fit. The 'board', still in its original plastic bag, is colour-printed on a sheet of stiffened cotton and represents a map (a treasure map) with numbered squares round the edges. The DVD is inside a cardboard sleeve - both are printed with designs matching that on the box lid. The pack of colour-printed cards is wrapped in their original cellophane packaging. The metal playing pieces are shaped as sailing ships and painted bronze, yellow, green and silver. There are three plastic dice in a plastic bag. All have numbers and designs impressed in gold-coloured ink on their faces. The red and blue ones each have the numbers 1 to 6; the black one has the numbers 1 to 5 with a compass rose on the sixth face. The instruction sheet is a single, glossy, colour-printed sheet folded in two. Total number of items is 12.
