Summary
A diabolo complete with the 'sticks' used to make it spin (circa 1938). The diabolo is made of varnished wood and the sticks are of unvarnished wood, the ends having light brown leather wrapped round to form handles. This is nailed in place at each end. The sticks taper away from the handle end almost to a point, where a metal eyelet is inserted through which is threaded (then knotted) a length of red woollen cord which joins the sticks together. Played with by the donor when aged about 8 years old, c1938. possibly bought in Newark by grandmother. Total number of items is 2.
