Summary
A game made of wood called ‘Shut the Box’ which mainly consists of a rectangular tray with green polyester plush fabric in the base and nine wooden tiles threaded on to a metal bar near to one side which can be 'flipped up' (2007). Each tile is numbered on both sides - printed in black ink and marked in Braille (white plastic dots made on sticky tape then applied). The green surface is for throwing the two white plastic dice on to. Each face of the dice is indented, with the dots printed in black and raised from the surface to make them easy to feel. The box is made from a single sheet of brown cardboard, folded to form the shape. Glued to the top is a white paper label printed in black which reads 'Shut the Box Game Suitable for People With Sight Problems' and 'Approved by Royal National Institute for the Blind'.
