Summary
A Wedgwood Peter Rabbit plate decorated with transfer decoration of scenes and lines from the story of Peter Rabbit. In the centre is Peter Rabbit having his coat fastened by his mother while his sisters in red coats are behind Peter. The top rim reads ' 'Now my dears,' said old Mrs. Rabbit one morning, 'you may go into the/ fields or down the lane,’ the bottom rim reads 'but don't go into Mr. McGregor's garden/ your father had an accident there; he was put in a pie by Mrs. McGregor''. This plate is part of a set.
