Summary
A white painted wooden child's high chair and table, made complete with turned arms, legs and arm rests (1950s or 1960s). Two shaped horizontal bars with three vertical splats form the backrest. A hinged wooden tray with curved arms and a formica base is attached to the back of the chair. A metal bracket under the tray would probably have fixed the tray to the left arm of the chair. A wooden foot rest is hinged to the chair and is adjusted by a wooden bracket on a metal rail stretcher. The footrest has five possible positions for the feet adjusted by a metal rod. The top half of the chair is attached to the lower half by two metal hinges in the front and a wooden and metal spring at the rear. When these are released the chair swings through 180 degrees and the base of the chair becomes a table. On either side of the table are two metal bars with nine red, yellow, green and blue beads, between them there is a metal hook in the front leg between the seat and the metal hinge. On either side of the back support are two metal bars forming a lock mechanism. Total number of items is 2.
