Summary
A child's plate decorated with a colour transfer decoration of a boy blowing a pipe and leading a fat black pig. The boy wears a red coat, green breeches, black shoes with gold buckles and a black hat decorated with a red bow. His hair is tied in a black ribbon. Around the rim of the plate and above and below the image is a verse in transfer which reads 'To market to market, to buy a fat pig, Home again, home again, Jig a jig jig'. The second 'home again' is badly worn. The image of the boy is scratched.
