Summary
A commemorative ceramic beaker produced to celebrate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria's reign. It is decorated with a gold foliate transfer decoration, pink roses and a profile bust of a young woman; probably Queen Victoria. On one side of the beaker encased in a scroll pattern is the following: ‘VICTORIA The Beloved Queen of England ascended the Throne June 20th 1837 and By the Grace of God yet reigneth, this present year of our Lord 1897’. Beneath this is written ‘GOD SAVE THE QUEEN’.
