Summary
A set of twenty pictorial wooden blocks with part of a paper illustration on each one. When put together, these form six illustrations of six nursery rhymes: 'Pat-a-cake,' 'The Queen of Hearts,' 'Little Boy Blue,' 'Jack and Jill,' 'Little Jack Horner and 'Sing a Song of Sixpence.' The nursery rhymes are underneath each one. The set is contained in it's original wooden box. The box also contains five illustrations depicting the nursery rhymes, as a guide. The 'Pat-a-Cake' nursery rhyme guide is on the box lid only. The wooden box opens on the right edge. This edge has a tape joining the top and bottom of the box together. The edges of the box have brown paper and white paper in the middle which folds over the inside edges of the box. The lid of the box has a colour paper illustration of the nursery rhyme 'Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man!', with the baker baking a cake with children looking through the window. The nursery rhyme is printed in blue ink in a white rectangle at the bottom of the illustration. This illustration is pasted onto a wooden board on the lid which has been nailed to the top. Some of the nails are missing and the board is loose on the right side. Total number of items is 26.
