Summary
A set of twenty pictorial wooden blocks in their original box, with their original pictures (five are loose in the box, the sixth is glued on top of the lid). The paper pictures depict scenes of a group of children at the zoo, with different animals in each one, and are printed in many colours. The paper is quite dog-eared at the edges of the blocks. The box is made of wood (nailed together) in two halves which were originally hinged at the back with a length of tape, but this is now fallen apart. Its top and sides were originally covered in red, yellow and green patterned paper, but this has come off one side and the back edge of the bottom half of the box. The box is lined with pale green paper which is quite torn in places. There is a metal tack protruding from the centre front of the lid as a knob. Total number of items is 27.
