Summary
A small rectangular cardboard box with 'Casse-Tete, Three Puzzles in One, Chinese, Russian and French, Manufactured by Thos. De La Rue and Co, London' printed on the lid in red and blue ink. The lid is decorated with a border consisting of two parallel rectangular lines with red spots in the middle. Additional decoration consists of white and blue triangles. There is a red square on each corner and one yellow triangle along each edge. The edges of the box are plain and have been Sellotaped. The box is empty but the inside lid has a white background with six squares in two vertical rows of three colours yellow, red and blue. Written at the top in blue ink is 'The pieces are to be placed in the box thus'. Between the two rows of squares are 'Chinese, Russian, French' in red ink with 'Casse-tete' in blue ink below. The other half of the box is divided into two indented squares. The square on the right has a circle cut out in the centre.
