Summary
A jigsaw puzzle, entitled 'Shades of Eve', in a square cardboard box. The pieces of the puzzle are wooden with paper stuck on. There is also one stray piece from another puzzle and a compliments slip from the director of the London museum with a handwritten note which read '2 puzzles, published between 1920 to 1939. Chandos'. The lid of the box has a multicoloured background on which is printed 'The Chandos Jigsaw Puzzles'. There is a yellow rectangle and printed on this is 'Good Quality Wood, Clean cutting, Close fitting, Irregular pieces'. The name of the manufacturer 'Frederick Warne' is identified. On the side of the box is printed '4. Shades of Eve. Series E 125 Pieces'. Total number of items is 132.
