Summary
A dissected puzzle depicting the history of ‘The Idiot Boy’; a poem by Wordsworth. The puzzle is divided into twelve sections, each with a picture with part of the poem beneath it. There are three lines with four sections on each. The story starts with Betty Foy sending her idiot son out on a horse to fetch the doctor for her friend. In the final picture her friend now recovered stands with her and her son and his horse. Betty Foy has a green skirt with red over blouse and yellow shawl. Her friend is in similar colours with the son in red trousers and blue jacket. At the top it reads 'History of Betty Foy and her Idiot Boy' and at the base 'a poem by William Wordsworth'. Total number of items is 39.
