Summary
Two cylindrical cardboard boxes each of which contain a cylindrical phonograph record; one of which is broken into many pieces. Neither box has a lid. A printed label stuck to the sides of the box containing the intact record reads ‘Edison Record’. Also on this label a black and white photograph of Thomas A Edison and information concerning patents. The box is lined with soft fabric. The black cylindrical record inside has the record information impressed around the rim. The box containing the broken record has a printed label stuck to the sides of the box which reads ‘Edison Records Echo all Over the World’. This label also has a black and white photograph of Thomas A Edison and details of patents. A letter accompanies the records from the donor. Total number of items is 4 (counting the broken record as one item).
