Summary
Handkerchief made of fine silk. It has a cream centre and a bright pink hemstitched border. In one corner of the centre is embroidered in blue thread 'Nan' and in the opposing corner, also in blue thread 'Egypt 1915'. Below this, and further into the corner is an embroidered spray of flowers in pink, cream, beige and pale green. Also beneath the words can be seen pencil guide lines. It is possible the blue embroidery has been done by machine.
