Summary
A coloured chalk drawing depicting Mrs. Vaillant and her son. She has dark hair and brown eyes and wears a grey and blue dress. Around her neck is a long black ribbon. Her son has fair, curly hair and blue eyes. He wears a red outfit with red bars on the shoulders, white socks and red shoes. He and his mother are holding an open book. There are other books at his feet. Both mother and son stare out of the picture at the spectator.
