Summary
A small pewter tankard, wider in the middle like a jug without a spout. It has two incised lines around the body above the widest part, and a raised band around the widest part. There is one handle joined to the body at the rim and just above the base. The tankard stands on a small round foot or plinth. Around the body, just below the rim, are the following incised markings: a crown-like shape above 'A', with a large 'B' below, a crown followed by 'G', and, a little lower down, a crown over 'VR' over '33'. Finally, there is ‘W IV' over a Staffordshire knot.
