Summary
Three ‘World smallest kites’ in their original packaging (2007). Each is made from coloured tissue paper with wire struts and two tails made form contrasting tissue paper. The 'string' is red cotton thread glued in place at the outside point of a triangle of contrasting tissue paper which is itself glued to the centre of the kite. There is a spool of extra thread for flying even higher - this is wound on a rectangle of white cardboard. One is the traditional diamond shape - bright pink with a red triangle and red and turquoise tails. One is circular - turquoise with an orange triangle and red and yellow tails. The other is star-shaped - yellow with an orange triangle and red and orange tails. The packaging consists of a colour-printed, white cardboard insert which has a slit to accommodate the spool of extra thread. The kite lies in the centre of the cardboard and its tails are wound round to the side. Printed on the back are instructions for flying, safety advice and the instruction 'Handle with care - like a butterfly'. This is all enclosed in a cellophane bag which is fastened with a colour-printed circular sticker. Total number of items is 3.
