Summary

A soft toy theatre featuring finger puppets of Sooty, Sweep and Soo (circa 2007). It is mostly made from brushed nylon and consists of a stuffed 'frame', inside which is the stage, with curtains, and a backing piece, which has Velcro at one side so it can be detached and re-attached (to enable a hand to be inserted!). The frame is red, with black piping around the front edge and a black carrying handle. The curtains are blue, the backing piece and stage floor are black, and the top of the stage is yellow. Printed in yellow on the frame is 'Sooty Theatre Show'. Sewn into a back seam is a cotton tape label printed with manufacturer's details and cleaning instructions. The curtains are threaded on to black cord, which is held in place at the centre top with a black ribbon loop. They have yellow tie-backs, which are sewn into the seam at the front and attached with Velcro at the back, to enable easy detaching when closing the curtains. The backing piece is stiffened inside with cardboard and constructed in three sections, to enable easy folding when in use. It has three pockets sewn on to the 'stage' side for storage of the finger puppets. The finger puppets are made from very short pile fur fabric. Sooty the bear is yellow, with black ears and pink paw pads, Sweep the dog is grey with long black ears and black paw pads, and Soo, being a panda, is black and white all over. Each has a nose made from nylon fabric (black for Sooty and Soo, red for Sweep) and embroidered black and orange eyes and mouth (black for Sooty and Sweep, red for Soo). Soo has a skirt made from polycotton, red with white spots. Sewn into each back seam is a cotton tape label printed with manufacturer's details and washing instructions. Total number of items is 4.
