Summary
A cotton-backed PVC pencil case which has an image of two of the characters created by A. A. Milne; Winnie-the-Pooh on one side and Eeyore on the other (circa 2007). Each is on a turquoise background, along with large flowers which are orange, pink and yellow. It is very slim, being a 'handbag' pencil case. It fastens with a bright pink nylon and metal zip and has a pink border at the bottom edge and multicoloured stripes to one side of each image. Attached to the zip with a silver-coloured metal loop is a flower-shaped tag of flexible plastic which has a flower printed on it in orange, pink and yellow. Sewn inside at the side seam is a ribbon label which is printed with 'Disney' on one side and the manufacturer's details on the other.
Provenance
Purchased for the Museum of Childhood by Miss Carolyn Aldridge (former Collections Manager) in June 2007.
