Summary
A Rubik's cube puzzle in its original box, (circa 1980) The puzzle is made up of 27 black plastic cubes which are joined at its centre. The smaller cubes can be rotated in groups of 9 (a face of the larger cube) along both axes. Each outward-facing side of each cube has a square, coloured sticker attached, covering the whole side of the cube. This sticker is red, orange, green, yellow, blue or white. The box is colour-printed on the outside, mainly black and glossy with 'rainbow' stripes diagonally across the top, with 'wonderful puzzler' in white. In each side of the box is a circular 'window' which has cellophane behind. One of the joins has come unstuck. There is a small leaflet, printed in black on white, which has 'instructions' in English, German and French. Only the cube is on display, the box and 'instructions' are in store. Known as 'Hungarian Magic Cube' in 1977 it became known as 'Rubik's Cube' from 1980 being named after its inventor, Erno Rubik. Total number of items is 3.
