Summary
A set of 'clackers', (circa 1970), two green plastic balls with segmented tops and bottoms, fastened to each end of a length of white nylon cord which has a white plastic tag tied into the centre. This tag has, moulded in a rectangular frame, 'Clackers 3 in 1' on one side and 'Clackers Satellite Catch a Star' on the other. To play with the toy, one had to hold the tag with the balls suspended below. Then, by agitating the tag, cause the balls to bang against each other to such a point where they would swing up at the sides to hit each other at the top, and keep going.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Janet Blomeley in May 2007.
