Summary
A pair of 'fly vision' glasses in their original packaging, which is made from clear, moulded, sealed plastic (circa 2006). A colour-printed cardboard insert reads 'FLY VISION, These insect eyes will bug you out!' on a background of hexagonal shapes and several flies. The glasses are made from green plastic with large, circular, pink faceted lenses. There appear to be gaps in the tops of the frames through which the lenses can be rotated. The arms are quite broad and have a textured surface - resembling hairs, made to mimic a fly’s legs..
Provenance
Purchased for the Museum of Childhood by Miss Carolyn Aldridge (former Collections Manager) in April 2007.
