Summary
A plastic 'Day to Night' Ken doll, Barbie's boyfriend, with the original box (circa 1984). The doll has moulded and painted facial features, blue eyes and moulded and painted brown hair. He is jointed at the shoulder and hip and swivels at the neck and waist. He has slightly bent arms. He is wearing a navy blue suit which comprises a plain 'mock suede' cotton jacket with two tiny buttons and which fastens with a press stud, and matching pinstripe trousers and waistcoat (the latter not being worn - part of his Day outfit). The trousers are sewn to his white textured nylon shirt and the whole garment fastens at the back with two press studs. Over his shirt he is wearing a 'dicky' shirt (with three pink buttons) with an attached dark blue bow tie. This in turn is attached to a shiny pink nylon cummerbund. This is his Night outfit. The Day outfit would include the waistcoat and a normal tie (the tie is missing). He is also wearing dark blue plastic shoes. The box is made from a single piece of folded, colour-printed cardboard which is decorated with photos of the doll in both outfits and has a window made from clear plastic. Inside the box are five pairs of Barbie shoes, two pairs of court shoes in pink and turquoise, and three pairs of sandals, one lilac, one pink and one turquoise. Total number of items is 13.
