Summary
A Canterbury bear called Peter. He is a small bear covered in grey-brown flecked fur fabric. He has brown safety eyes, embroidered nose and mouth in brown thread and brown suede pads on his paws. Tied in a bow round his neck is a piece of broad black ribbon decorated with spots and along the edges with gold-coloured metallic thread. He has a folded white cardboard label held in place round his neck with a piece of very narrow elastic covered with gold-coloured thread. This has a coat of arms on the front, coloured in black, red and yellow, and is printed in black with information about the company.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood in 2006 by Dyan Humphrey, whose mother wished to find homes for some of her large collection of bears.
