The strands were used in a craft called ‘Scoubidou’, and was originally started in the 1950s, but became a fad once again in 2004 /2005 in the UK. The strands were used to make ‘friendship bracelets’ and key chains most popularly. Includes instructions and patterns. The top of the bag is stapled to a label with the product name printed on one side and manufacturing details and warnings printed on the back.
Provenance
Purchased for the Museum of Childhood by Miss Carolyn Aldridge (former Collections Manager) in April 2006.
