Summary
A baby's 'Silver Cross' pram (late 1970s) which can be separated into a carry-cot and wheels. The body can be removed and the frame folded so that it can be carried in the boot of a car. The body can then be taken indoors and used as a carry-cot. It is painted olive green with a green fabric hood and cover. It has 'Silver Cross' embossed in a silver-coloured panel on the sides. The frame is made of chromium-plated steel tubing, bent round at one end to form a handle, which has a rubber handgrip. The front wheels are larger than the back ones, and all four have chromium-plated rims and white solid rubber tyres. There is a brake, operated by a handle above the right hand rear wheel, which presses on the tyre. The springs are concealed within the frame tubing. It has its original mattress which has a white PVC mattress cover with a yellow-flowered pattern. The brake rubbers are perishing.
