Summary
This is a child's fur coat (circa 1946). The fur is cream and white and is possibly rabbit. It has a collar and is closed with two fur pompom buttons that engage with loops. It is lined with cream coloured fabric and there are rusty marks which may have been caused by a wire coat hanger. It is suspected that the garment may have been made by hand. It was brought, or more likely bartered, for the donor’s sister by the donor whilst he was stationed in Pordenone, Italy in 1946.
