Summary
A fabric doll in a bridal dress. She has a composition head which is covered with cloth. This cloth is flesh coloured and covers the moulded features, which are painted. She has brown painted eyes. She has long fair wavy hair made of mohair. She has a firmly stuffed fabric body. The arms and legs, which are covered with flesh coloured velvet fabric, are jointed at the hips and shoulders. The thumb is separate but the fingers are joined together and delineated by stitching. On her head she has a dirty net cap/bonnet with a white bead decoration framing the face which is attached to a wire frame. She is wearing a long white dress. The bodice has long sleeves and lace trim at the neck and waist, being fastened at the back with poppers. There is a white satin ribbon sash which ties in a bow at the back and to which is attached a long white net veil. The dress has an embroidered long net skirt. Beneath the skirt is a net apron and beneath that is a further petticoat with two rows of broderie anglaise trimming. She is wearing flannel knickers. She has white knee length socks and leather shoes.
