Summary
A toy push-along 'Merrythought', England (circa 1940) 'horse on wheels' type which is covered in light brown fur fabric and comes complete with a steering mechanism. The company were established in 1930 and operates from Ironbridge, Shropshire. He was named 'Neddy' by the owner. White fetlocks, pale beige mane and tail, brown glass eyes, leather tongue, brown felt hooves and a red leather bridle. He is attached to a metal frame which has four wheels, the front two move to enable steerage. A metal rod goes from the frame up to under his neck. A metal handle is fixed to the frame at the rear. A metal handle, which is movable to allow steering, is attached to its head. Two foot rests are attached under the shoulder. There are three pieces of red leather harness with a piece of brown braid attached to one bit. Total number of items is 4.
