Summary
A set of 'Sindy' kitchen furniture complete with original boxes (circa 1973). The set comprises of a sink unit, a floor cupboard and a wall cupboard each in their original boxes. The sink unit is a yellow and white plastic Sindy ‘Eastham E line’. It has a white base with two opening cupboard doors and a fixed shelf in one. On the top is a silver plastic single sink and drainer with two black and silver taps, silver chain and black plug. A loose rectangular yellow plastic bowl has 'Sindy' embossed on the base. The original box is pink with three pictures of the unit plus four pictures of Sindy in each of her rooms. Part of the box lid is missing. The 'Sindy' trademark is in a black heart with a red border, Serial No. 44548. The yellow and white plastic ‘Eastham E Line’ floor cupboard has white sides and top with a full length opening yellow door with four removable yellow plastic drawers and white handles. The original pink box has a picture of the unit on three sides, with four pictures of Sindy in each room on the fourth side. Part of the box top is missing. The 'Sindy' trademark is in a black heart with a red border. The yellow and white plastic ‘Eastham E Line’ wall cupboard is all white with a full length opening yellow door with a white handle at the top. Inside is a narrow shelf. On the back is inserted a white switch and light socket with red and white wires, leading to a battery chamber. The original pink box has a picture of the unit on three sides with four pictures of Sindy in each of her rooms on the fourth side. The 'Sindy' trademark is on a black heart with a red border. A white paper label has '£2.49' in it. Serial number 44546. Total number of items is 11. Bought in 1973 for the donor's daughter (Sally) when she was age 4 or 5.
