Summary
Five metal toy train carriages; part of a larger train set. Each carriage has a navy blue painted roof and navy blue base. Along the sides the predominant colour is yellow with navy blue decoration and lines to simulate doors at either end. There are five windows on each side of the carriages, cut out of the metal. The ends of the carriages are painted navy blue with the connecting door painted yellow. On one end, painted in yellow in small letters, is 'Made in Gt Britain'. Two carriages have a longitudinal line decoration and four square dots along the middle of the roof. There are metal couplings at either ends of the carriages, but they are missing at one end of two of the carriages. Each carriage has four wheels, mounted on two axles. Played with by the donor - circa 1950 to circa 1955. The sets could possibly made around 1940. Total number of items is 5.
