Summary
A child's white cotton cape (1850s to 1870s). The cape is trimmed at the neck with a cut-work frill, which has a scalloped edge. The cape has a plain centre and has a wide border of curt-work towards the hem. The cape has a repeated oval shaped hem, which is finished with a blanket stitch. The cape has two small areas of darning.
