Summary
A number of objects related to Dictaphones. There is a black painted metal holder for Dictaphone cylinders consisting of a circular base with a hole in the middle. Attached to the base around the hole are three poles which support a flat piece of metal with six large holes cut into it. These hold the cylinders. A large hook is attached to the centre of the upper piece. A circle of green felt is glued to the underside of the holder. This had signs of moth. There are also black cylindrical cardboard boxes lined with cream felt. The words 'Dictaphone Reg UK made in England' are printed three times on each box. Five boxes contain Dictaphone cylinders. The cylinders are black and hollow and made of a waxy material. There are grooves on the inside of the cylinders and the words 'Dictaphone Cylinder, Made in England' are impressed on the bottom edges of some cylinders. Four additional cylinders were packed separately in waxed paper and corrugated cardboard. There are two typewriter type covers made of a rubberised cloth which is deteriorating. Each cover has printed on it in gold the words 'Dictaphone Reg. UK and Abroad'. Lastly there is a cream ceramic ink-well in the form of a tapering cylinder with a wide top and a hole in the middle. Total number of items is 30.
