Summary
A wooden, varnished, cradle for a doll. It has solid wooden sides, front, back and base with a solid wooden hood. It sits on two carved wooden rockers. There are also pieces of bedding, possibly for the cradle. These consist of: a length of cream coloured fabric, possibly cotton; a length of cream coloured flannel; a rectangle of cream coloured cotton; a rectangle of cream coloured cotton; and a rectangle of cream coloured cotton. Total number of items is 6.
Provenance
Part of the Derbyshire Museum Service collection which was moved to Sudbury in 1972 to help form the basis of the Museum of Childhood collection. The original donor's name is given as 'Hackenthorpe'.
