Summary
A plastic 'walking' doll representing a girl, made by Pedigree Dolls & Toys Ltd., England, circa 1955. The doll with mobile plastic eyes, nylon eyelashes, moulded and painted facial features, black artificial hair glued-on. The swivel head moves from side to side when the doll is walked; joined at the shoulders and hip. The doll wears a capped-sleeve cotton dress with pink and white check pattern and red, white and blue flowers, gathered at the waist, fastened at the back with two press-studs. Over the dress a white pinafore, frilled at the shoulders and fastened at the back with press-studs. The doll wears white nylon cami-knickers, edged with lace; white stockinette socks with red ribbon bows. The hair is dressed in a large red ribbon. Two silver-coloured metal earrings with screws, formerly worn by the doll, are now attached to the proper right wrist.
