Summary
A string puppet boy, named Pierre, in original box. He is made of plastic with modelling material hands and wooden feet. He is attached to a wooden cradle stamped with the ‘Pelham Puppet’ makers mark on the wood in purple ink. The puppet has a smiling face with moveable mouth and brown painted eyes. He has shiny brown painted hair with a blue felt cap stuck on top. He is wearing a long sleeved blue cotton shirt with navy blue patterning and a white collar. He has orange cotton trousers. He is attached to the cradle with red, black, blue, yellow and green strings. He is in his original yellow cardboard box which has a loose inner card shape and a plastic see through lid. The lid is a 'sleeve type' with pictures of other puppets on either side. Across the middle it says the maker’s name, and across the box it has various illustrations of other puppets from the range. Over some of them is a large dark stain. The base has instructions for taking the puppet out of the box and for putting him in again on the long sides. Total number of items is 4.
