Summary
One of the puppets made for and used by the ‘Lilliput Marionette Theatre’. This marionette has been identified as a 'bat from the witch’s cottage scene' and is from a play entitled 'Hansel and Gretel'. A marionette bat with wooden control attached with nylon fishing line. All show signs of serious damage, repair and wear. The bat is black in colour, well moulded with articulated wings crudely fixed. The head carries two eyes in faceted red glass. Total number of items is 3.
