Summary
One of the puppets made for and used by the ‘Lilliput Marionette Theatre’. This marionette has been identified as a 'bird who dropped leaves on the sleeping children' and is from a play entitled 'Hansel and Gretel’. A marionette bird with wooden control attached with twine. The bird is made of wood, the body coloured in blue with articulated wings, the legs are coloured orange-brown and also articulated at all joints. The bird has a large painted eye and pouted breast. All parts show serious signs of damage and repair caused by usage and wear. One wing is detached. Total number of items is 3.
