This marionette has been identified as 'Abu's camel' and is from a play entitled 'The Lost Princess' or 'Kalif (Caliph) Stork'. The camel is made of wood with a modelling compound used for the shaping. It is painted in two shades of brown and has brown hair stuck to its rump, withers, underbelly and neck. The head has a moveable mouth and eyes and two red leather ears. The neck is made of twelve wooden discs covered with hair. The four legs are fully jointed. Slight damage to the right hip. White-cord reins are fastened to the back of its head.
