Summary
One of the puppets made for and used by the ‘Lilliput Marionette Theatre’. This marionette was not identified by former company members, however, it could possibly be a character from the play entitled 'Faust' as it is similar in style to the other characters identified in this play. A wooden marionette without it's control. It has a painted wooden face and artificial fair hair, the face surrounded by a wire halo. He or she wears a robe of gold and blue faded to purple-brown, and a beige waist petticoat. The feet are bare and carved from wood, and the hands moulded from modelling compound painted pink.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mr E Hellawell in 1982.
