Summary
One of the puppets made for and used by the ‘Lilliput Marionette Theatre’ (circa 1940 - 1982). This marionette was not identified by former company members, however, it is probably from the play The Lost Princess' or 'Kalif (Caliph) Stork (original story by William Hauff) as it is very similar in style to the other puppets identified. A marionette with control and plastic strings, representing an Arab man. He has a brown carved wooden head with black hair and beard, green cap, cloak and tunic, and black head-dress and trousers, of various fabrics. The hands are formed from a modelling material painted brown. There is also a separate piece of wood with two notches in it. In storage Control for the marionette. Total number of items is 2.
